چکیده

The procedure for analysis of electromagnetic field in a cylindrical metallic cavity, based on reflection and transmission characteristic, is presented in the paper. An analysis of procedure efficiency to resonant modes identification is conducted numerically and experimentally verified. As a numerical tool, TLM time-domain method, enhanced with the compact wire model to account for the presence of feed and monitoring probes, is used. Conditions, in terms of probe dimension, for achieving the best source matching and optimum coupling between ports, are considered. Results obtained using reflection and transmission procedures are also compared, in terms of modes identification and resonant frequency dependence of probe dimensions. Key-Words: Cavity, Wire, Probe, TLM Time-Domain Method, Reflection, Transmission

Optimization of Fan Geometry for Urban Train Traction Motors using Coupled Numerical Electromagnetic and Thermal Analysis

One of the most important parameters in designing electrical motors is heat generation by the motor and the way it is dissipated. Temperature rising reduce efficiency and reliability of traction motors and leads to failure. In this paper, an urban train traction motor in a 3D computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation has been investigated. Maxwell software for electromagnetic simulation and...

A new Q-band EPR probe for quantitative studies of even electron metalloproteins.

Existing Q-band (35 GHz) EPR spectrometers employ cylindrical cavities for more intense microwave magnetic fields B1, but are so constructed that only one orientation between the external field B and B1 is allowed, namely the B perpendicular B1 orientation, thus limiting the use of the spectrometer to measurements on Kramers spin systems (odd electron systems). We have designed and built a Q-ba...

Characteristics of Electromagnetic Coupling with A Wire Through Enclosure

Electromagnetic interference can be easily coupled into metallic shielding enclosure that is penetrated with a conducting wire, which having a harmful effect on electrical and electronic devices. To sudy the characteristics, Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) is applied in both frequency and time domain for modeling the coupling of an incident electromagnetic pulse (EMP) with a conducting wir...

Impact of Magnetic Field on Convective Flow of a Micropolar Fluid with two Parallel Heat Source

A numerical study is performed to analysis the buoyancy convection induced by the parallel heated baffles in an inclined square cavity. The two side walls of the cavity are maintained at a constant temperature. A uniformly thin heated plate is placed at the centre of the cavity. The horizontal top and bottom walls are adiabatic. Numerical solutions of governing equations are obtained using the ...
